My name is Kayla Bauer and I am originally from Waterford, MI. I currently work as a fifth grade teacher in Howell, MI. I graduated from Michigan State University in 2009 with a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Elementary Education and with a social studies endorsement. After graduation I participated in the teaching internship program through MSU and earned my teaching certificate in 2010. I am currently finishing my Master’s degree with a concentration in Literacy Development through the Master of Arts in Education Program at MSU.

 

Aside from education, I enjoy traveling, MSU sports games, Detroit Tiger baseball games, visiting art museums, learning how to paint, reading, and country music concerts. I was lucky enough to travel to New York City this summer. I was able to visit Central Park, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Broadway plays, Time Square, the Brooklyn Bridge, and much more! It was an incredible experience and I would love to go back! The pictures in my gallery represent different adventures I have gone on and things I am passionate about.
